Your dispatcher for the open road

Commander 1.5.1 is a free Windows companion application for American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. It gives you a fully voiced dispatch office that listens for spoken requests, finds work, assists with pickup routing, follows your active delivery and keeps you company on long drives.

Speech recognition runs locally on your PC. Commander does not require a cloud speech subscription.

Compatibility

Commander supports the Windows editions of ATS and ETS2. Vanilla game profiles provide the most complete and dependable experience.

Modded trucks and maps may work, but no application can guarantee the accuracy of third-party map geometry. Commander may deliberately disable automatic pickup routing when it cannot prove a safe destination. City-based job searches and ordinary telemetry features may remain available.

Installation

1. Close Commander, ATS and ETS2.
2. Download and run the Commander 1.5.1 Windows installer.
3. Read and accept the EULA.
4. Launch ATS or ETS2. Commander will detect the running game and load the current profile.
5. Open Commander Settings to choose your microphone, push-to-talk control and initial dispatcher.

Windows may display a SmartScreen warning because this independent community release is not commercially code-signed. Download Commander only from this official page.

Voice recognition

Commander uses offline automated speech recognition. Microphone quality, background noise, pronunciation and accents can affect accuracy. If a dispatcher does not understand, repeat or rephrase the request and confirm that Windows is using the correct microphone.

Please check your microphone before reporting Commander as broken. The dispatchers are reasonably intelligent; they are not miracle workers.

Logs and bug reports

Diagnostic logs are stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Route Commander\Logs. Genuine reports are welcome, but universal compatibility with every hardware setup, game update, DLC combination or third-party modification is not guaranteed.

Free means free

Commander costs nothing to download or use. Optional donations support continued development but do not purchase extra features, priority support or guaranteed updates.
